Dondo Karigina, in Episode 34:The Paladin and the King, mentions that he knows of the "Beast master", and knows he is an honorable man.

To date, Fahima writes 5 letters to her father though his whereabouts are unknown. She says he has been absent from correspondence for quite some time.

In Episode 69: Water and Ash, The Ashen Mage uses Fahima to cast a spell called Whispering Sands, to allow Fahima to speak to her father and gain insight into his location.

Whispering Sands - sand, ash or dust serves as a conduit for your conversation with other creatures in far removed locales. You fix in your mind the identity of creatures with whom you wish to communicate. You must know, have met or know the name of the targets and then speak. You know immediately which of the targets can respond if any. if the targets posses the appropriate sandy focus or if the targets are located in areas of sand, dust or ash the spell functions. If not, it immediately ends. Barriers and distance are not a factor as long as you and the targets have the appropriate focus and are on the same plane. If contact is achieved the sand whispers your messages back and forth for the duration of the spell, which is 10 minutes, no matter your distance from each other. Gleaning a message akin to wind on sand.

In Episode 70:Picking Up the Pieces James Quillus casts a sending to Conroy to try to circumvent The Ashen Mage's ever watchful eyes, after the group was able to meet up and discuss the recent happenings in Winkburgh at the Wink and the Smile. Fahima tells the group that her dad calls her Fire Cracker.

James Quillus casts Dream in Episode 77:The Vermin of Olsvach, which allows Fahima sees her dad for the first time in over a year. He is tall with sharp angled features. He has dark hair that is greying at the temples.
