She is one of the two Stewards of the Lodestar, the other Steward is Garumpthe. Stewards are always in pairs according to Diphthe. She is a smallish woman. She weighs about 75lbs and is long and thin. She is a Sky Child, well former Sky Child. She has Bluish/Grey skin and a bald head. She has a love of, and a nurturing way with, magical creatures. She is found hanging from Spiders webs in Episode 2:The Fallen Lodestar. She is also Torvalt's new Assistant.

It is through a Sending Spell sent to her by James Quillus, in Episode 15:Pirate Problems, that the group learned of her capture by Orcs.

Diphthe is seen walking out of the water, deep in the Underfury in Episode 88:The Depths of Rage. She is much different now, darker, almost gray. It looks like she has been through something. Her eyes, sunken and dark. She looks the color of steel, darkened and grayed. There are bits of stubble on her head. The stubble on her head is white. She says to the group "I am no longer Diphthe, I am not a child of the sky. I am drowned below. Diphthe is gone, Diphthe is past tense. I am... Diph Theed." She says not drowned under water, drowned in the earth.

Diph Theed further elaborates in Episode 89: and says that all sky children are warned of a curse should they touch the ground.

Status: Freed from capture by the group in Episode 88:The Depths of Rage. Currently resides in the main level of the Underfury (Episode 89)
