Xenalka describes it as "A place that remembers." It is a place of great significance to Vargen, and perhaps to The Ashen Mage. Vargen makes his home here and draws his power from here. In Episode 28:Blood in the Alabaster Woods, The Alabaster Woods is described as having thin brilliant, pristine, shimmering white trees. They are hard to the touch, smooth and cold. almost made out of stone. They are sparse at first and get denser. The ground has a layer of what feels like moss but its crimson. The bottoms of the trees have tendrils of red. Infused with the Coil.

Once Vargen is wounded enough the blood retracts, is seeps, recedes and is soaked deep into ground.
Vargen's Death causes a fissure in the ground to appear and all the werewolves to fall prone. the blood that is in the ground is suspended in the air like a curtain as if gravity is turned off. The Blood Curtain drops and the fissure closes after Lily Dumblestuck has a vision from the Secret Keepers Amulet, about Rela Tallrunner.
